Greater Manchester Parkinson's Benchmarking Survey

Introduction and guidance

Purpose of this survey

This survey supports a GM‑wide benchmarking exercise to understand how Parkinson’s care is currently delivered across services and localities. The aim is to identify variation, clarify pathways, and highlight priority areas for improvement.

This is not an inspection or performance assessment. Responses will be used to support system learning and improvement.

How to complete the survey

  • You are not expected to complete every section.
  • Please complete only the sections you feel confident answering, based on your role, service or experience.
  • Partial responses are expected and are still very helpful.
  • If you are unsure, please select “Not known” rather than guessing.
  • Optional comment boxes are provided where you feel context would be useful.
  • You can save your progress and return later using the “Save and Continue Later” button at the end of the survey.

Scoring approach

For each statement, please select the option that best reflects your service or locality.

Green – In place and consistent

  • Clear pathways/processes exist
  • Access is reliable and understood
  • Works consistently in practice

Amber – Partially in place OR fully in place but inconsistently available/delivered

  • Some elements exist, but access or delivery varies
  • Processes exist but are not consistently available, applied, or understood
  • Gaps or delays occur

Red – Not in place or rarely available

  • No clear process or pathway exists
  • Access is unreliable, limited or absent
  • Relies on individual clinicians rather than systems

Not known

  • You do not have enough information to answer this question
