Helping people affected by MS find support more easily

The Greater Manchester Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Pathway Development Steering Group has developed two new resources to help people affected by MS and the professionals who support them access information, advice and support more easily.

Working in partnership with a number of MS charities, the group brought together information on services, resources and support available across local and national organisations into two easy-to-use guides.

The first guide is designed for people living with MS and their carers, bringing together support covering areas such as emotional wellbeing, physical health, employment, financial advice, peer support and local services. The second focuses on healthcare and social care professionals, providing information on training opportunities, evidence and research resources, professional networks, educational materials and specialist support available from MS charities.

By bringing this information together in one place, the resources help reduce the need to search across multiple websites and make it easier for people to find the support and information most relevant to their needs.
