Introduction to Vestibular Training

Presenter Alec Roberts 

Alec Roberts is a Clinical Specialist Neuro-Physiotherapist, with a special interest in vestibular and balance disorders. He has worked previously across both stroke and neuro-rehab pathways, currently working as the Lead Physiotherapist on the Floyd Unit (INRU), and is due to start a voluntary position on the committee for the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists interested in Vestibular Rehabilitation (ACPIVR).

Audience: All staff (including the voluntary sector) working within Greater Manchester stroke and neurorehabilitation services

The training will cover

• Overview of anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system
• Overview of pathology affecting the vestibular system
• Assessment of Vestibular Function
• Recovery of Vestibular Function

Please note  second advanced  training session will be available to book onto towards the end of March
