Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) closure in Greater Manchester – Webinar

An educational event for doctors and nurses involved in the treatment of young patients with cryptologic stroke.

The event will compose of meeting the following learning objectives:

• A background on guidelines and commissioning of PFO closure
• A review of the data on PFO closure
• An overview of the PFO closure procedure
• A summary of the referral process and indications for referral of appropriate patients.
• An overview of the use of transcranial doppler in assessing patients with cryptologic stroke

This webinar will involve a talk from by Dr Ferrah Choudhary and Dr Amit Kishore.  Dr Choudhary is a consultant interventional Cardiologist at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and she leads the PFO service there
