Applications open for a Community Clinical Lead

We are advertising for a new Community Clinical Lead to join the network team to provide expertise and leadership in stroke and neurorehabilitation. Our previous post holder Chris Hyde stepped down in June after three very successful years and we are now seeking her successor.

Clinical leadership plays a vital role in shaping and leading the portfolio of projects undertaken by the network. Our Leads help prioritise and provide clinical expertise to ensure effective development and also delivery of a wide range of service improvement initiatives. We have two other Leads in acute stroke and inpatient rehabilitation, and the clinical leadership team work under the direction of our Clinical Director Dr Krishnamoorthy, supported by a Manager, Administrators and a team of Facilitators.

The key responsibilities of our Clinical Leads are:

  • Horizon scanning
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with others
  • Working with providers of care and the wider system to support/lever change
  • Presenting at and chairing relevant meetings and representing the network as required
  • Providing expertise to inform network project planning and delivery

We are seeking a clinician currently working in a senior role (band 7 or above) in a Greater Manchester specialist community service. You must have previous or current experience of working in both stroke and neurorehabilitation care pathways in this setting.
