BASIC reopening of services including digital clinic for Salford residents

BASIC is a charity that supports people with brain and spinal injuries and is based in Salford, near to the hospital. The organisation has been closed for clients to attend the gym, virtual reality, cafe but has remained open for psychological support namely CBT, EMDR and well-being. On the physical side, the physiotherapists have been offering online classes: upper limb for stroke; ‘Fame’ class and Capoiera. They are also offering support to help digitally enable Salford residents via a special clinic.

The team are accepting referrals and their operational manager is doing online assessments. The virtual reality suite reopened on the 1st March Monday-Wednesday and from the 12th April the BASIC gym will also fully re-open.
