CVD prevention Clinical Lead sought

The network is jointly recruiting a new Clinical Lead for Prevention with the Greater Manchester & Eastern Cheshire Strategic Clinical Network’s cardiac programme.

The role has been created to help drive forwards the local cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention agenda to help reduce the incidence of stroke and heart attacks in the region.

The post will provide clinical expertise and leadership for this area to the networks and will support the ongoing development of CVD prevention services at a strategic and system level by working with a range of stakeholders at the local, regional and national level.

The post holder is likely to work within primary care or public health although clinicians from other settings would be considered depending on their experience. The post is funded for one clinical session a week and would form part of an existing clinical role.
