Community Clinical Lead becomes Clinical Associate

We are delighted to announce that Chris Hyde, our Community Clinical Lead for the past 3 years has been appointed to a new role following the end of her tenure in June. Chris will be our Clinical Associate for Community Neurorehabilitation Transformation from today, continuing to provide considerable clinical leadership experience in this new role.
Chris was appointed in 2022 and leads the Stockport Community Stroke and Neurorehabilitation Team. She initially worked alongside a Clinical Lead for stroke focusing on neurorehabilitation, but for the past year has combined both areas into her role. Her approach has always been collaborative and consensual, working to bring teams together to advance service development. She oversaw the updating of our community models and associated Key Performance Indicators, and helped lead a wide variety of projects as well as supporting national work led by NHS England.
As an Associate, she will focus on the strategic development of services by supporting:
- NHS England Neurology transformation programme Community neurology services guidance – ongoing advice to national working group and support for implementation by the Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board including the current inpatient neurorehabilitation transformation programme task and finish group
- Greater Manchester community team transformation to support improvements in inequitable access criteria and service delivery across localities, and support alignment with the full Greater Manchester model (Stroke and Neuro)
Chris joins our small team of Clinical Associates who are not remunerated but generously provide expertise across a range of topics. We are enormously grateful for all her efforts as our Clinical Lead and look forward to continuing to work with her as an Associate.
