New Clinical Associates appointed

Greater Manchester Neuro Rehabilitation and Integrated Stroke Delivery Network logo

Jenny Harrison Clinical Lead for Inpatient RehabilitationWe are delighted to announce the appointment of three new Clinical Associates to help strengthen the clinical leadership of the network. We created these new roles as part of our review of network structures earlier in the year, and we hope to appoint more clinicians in future.

Clinical Associates will work on specific projects or lead groups within the network, and will provide expertise and clinical leadership in addition to our existing team. They are unpaid roles and provide an excellent opportunity for clinicians to gain experience in leadership and recognise significant contributions to our endeavors.

We would like to welcome Jenny Harrison (pictured above) as our new Clinical Associate supporting the cardiorespiratory training project. Jenny was previously our Inpatient Rehabilitation Clinical Lead, and is a Consultant Therapist for stroke services at Manchester University NHS FT.

We are also delighted to have appointed Thom Luxom (pictured right) and Susan Bannister (pictured left) who co-chair our Workforce Development Subgroup. Both are senior managers and clinicians in Salford Royal and Royal Bolton’s stroke services respectively and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in this area.
