New clinical leaders appointed

We are delighted to announce that we have made a number of new appointments to bolster our clinical leadership team.

We have appointed two Clinical Associates: Katherine Swithenbank (Bolton community stroke team, pictured left) and Sarah Williams (WWL community stroke team, pictured right). Both are experienced clinicians and have been leading our work on vocational rehabilitation for the past few years. They co-chair our community of practice, brining together professionals from across the region to support each other and share best practice.

We have also appointed Rachael Collins (pictured left) as our new Clinical Lead for Inpatient Rehabilitation. Rachael is an advanced clinical practitioner in stroke at Salford Royal Hospital, and a senior Occupational Therapist with significant experience and expertise.

The new members of the team will join our Clinical Director Dr Shivakumar Krishnamoorthy, Chris Hyde Clinical Lead for Community, Dr Aseem Mishra Clinical Lead for CVD Prevention plus Clinical Associates Jenny Harrison, Susan Bannister and Thom Luxom.

We are also currently recruiting a new Clinical Lead for acute Stroke, and hope to appoint someone to start in the next month or so. You can meet all the team here.
