Supporting professional development
During 2025/26, we delivered a comprehensive and inclusive training programme designed to strengthen the skills, knowledge and confidence of the workforce supporting people with stroke and neurological conditions. We have now published this year’s report summarising our activity.
Open to professionals in the NHS and voluntary sector, our programme combined face‑to‑face events, webinars and online learning, with a strong focus on practical, applied training that supports evidence‑based practice across our care pathways.
Key highlights:
- 4 webinars and 5 in person training events
- 216 attended online training; 374 registered for in person events – 590 in total
- Co-hosted further cardiorespiratory training with GM Active
- Our portfolio of >100 YouTube videos were viewed 2,622 times and 245 hours, with 47 new subscribers, now totalling 555
- Our videos have now been watched over 35,991 times since launch
- Most popular video was Pathophysiology of spasticity with 238 views
A system‑wide training needs scoping exercise carried out in late 2025 is helping shape future priorities by identifying shared training requirements in our teams. This work reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting a skilled and connected workforce across Greater Manchester.
