The Citizens Advice Service provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice for everyone in the community on their rights and responsibilities.

Bury Volunteer Centre aims to promote volunteering and encourage people to get
involved in local opportunities.

Social club for visually impaired - call to book an appointment to receive information and advice on what the club has to offer. We are a friendly club and charity of about 30 people who enjoy cycling. All of our rear riders, called stokers, have a visual impairment and range from very experienced club cyclists who have lost their sight to younger people who have discovered the joys of cycling through the club.

You are able to self refer. The Health Trainer service offers motivational support for people wanting to make healthy lifestyle changes e.g. 'one to one' support with healthy eating/weight management, increasing physical activity, improving sleep, stopping smoking, drinking sensibly and support with breastfeeding.

Self help support group for anyone affected by Diabetes. The group has over 900 members and offers: support; self help; representation on local and national committees; information; education; advice and informal contact with specialists who attend the support group's meetings. These take place on the third Wednesday of every month (except Nov, Jan, July and Aug) at 7.30pm in the Lancashire Fusiliers room of the Town Hall.

The service is for anyone who has rehabilitation needs related to a stroke.
Most often this will be straight from hospital and the therapy staff in hospital will refer to us, however you may have been discharged some time ago and still have rehabilitation needs. You can refer yourself or your GP can refer you, but you need to have rehabilitation goals, that is, something which you want to achieve that is tricky because of your stroke but which you could do before it.
We may see you at home or in a clinic
We also see everyone at six months after they are discharged from hospital after a stroke to review their progress
We will offer advice and support for any stroke related problem

Anyone affected by GBS, CIDP or one of the variant peripheral neuropathies can contact us via phone, email or website. CIDP, MMN (Multifocal Motor Neuropathy), acute and chronic variants including Miller Fisher Syndrome, AMAN, AMSAN, MADSAM,, PDN (Paraproteinaemia).
We provide information and support to patients and families affected by GBS, CIDP and the associated inflammatory neuropathies.

The service provides support with communication problems following stroke either 1:1 or via group. Provides information & support to the stroke survivors, families and carers of stroke survivors.

NHS health trainers aim to support people to live healthier lives by working with them to make small but important changes to their lifestyle. Health trainers are qualified NHS professionals who have been specifically trained to motivate, advise and support patients in getting healthy, staying healthy and getting the most out of life. They are based in GP surgeries across Bolton and work closely with local GPs and their staff to make a difference to people’s health and wellbeing. Can also be referred by your GP.

Bolton Carers Support is a registered charity that offers a confidential support and information service to carers. We are an independent charity supporting carers over the age of 18 who live in Bolton or who care for someone living in Bolton. We offer information, a confidential listening ear, opportunities to meet other carers for mutual support, training, short breaks, and can ‘signpost’ you to relevant services that can help you in your caring role.

As well as providing homes we also offer a range of other services. These are available to our customers and some are open to other people living in our communities. Here are some of the ways we might be able to help you and your family:
•Providing a wide range of advice, signposting, support and social activities through our UCAN centres.
•Tackling antisocial behaviour, hate crime and domestic abuse in our neighbourhoods.
•Supporting the community in developing groups and projects.
•Helping you link up with other services such as those providing affordable furniture.
•Giving you the support you need to remain independent through our Careline service and disabled adaptations.
•Offering several services to help you get back into work and training.
