A group of carers from the black and ethnic minority communities offer a chance to discuss and share experiences with others in similar situations. there are activities and regular trips available.

The group provides social activities, befriending service, counselling and skill building; giving advice and guidance service. We offer a "Living with Sight Loss" course to encourage independent living with sight loss.

We provide a free, weekly digest of The Bolton News, recorded with the co-operation of the Bolton News, and delivered free of charge to the visually impaired, and disabled of Bolton and District.
We also provide an Audio Conversion Service, with printed CDs if required, at very reasonable rates.

Having a "hands on" approach to cancer awareness helps us educate about the importance of self checks and being aware of the changes in our bodies, early diagnosis save lives. We can talk about bowel, breast, testicular, lung, skin, cervical, kidney, bladder or prostate cancer, depending on the dynamics of the group.

The EASE group is concerned with women who are affected by (FGM) Female Genital Mutilation and was established to help unleash their creativity and deal with their everyday issues using creative ways and arts.

DMWS are an independent charity providing help and support to the Armed Forces Community whenever they are receiving medical treatment.
We are the Defence Medical Welfare Service, providing medical welfare support to the Armed Forces Community across the UK and in Cyprus.
Our Welfare Officers are highly trained and are ready to respond to those in need 24/7.
We are the only charity to deploy to areas of conflict alongside troops on the frontline, and the first welfare service that service personnel will see when they are wounded, injured or sick.

Advice on all aspects Wigan Independent Advice Centre offers advice and information to the general public including casework in welfare rights, benefits, advice and help with reviews and appeals.

Largest range of adapted cycles in the region which are available for use by disabled people of all ages. It is a safe area for groups and individuals to enjoy cycling and fully trained staff are on hand to provide instruction if necessary on how to use the bikes and free taster sessions can be arranged.

Helps individuals identify what benefits and tax credits they are entitled to, assist with claim forms and argue their case at an appeal if they disagree with a decision. Individuals with debt problems can be helped to draw up financial statements, negotiate with their creditors and represent them in court. The service works in partnership with the Citizens Advice Bureau and can offer appointments at a number of settings including in the home and at local health centres.

Helping people with acquired brain injuries including stroke to obtain and keep employment.

Helps individuals decide what type of voluntary work they are interested in and assists them in getting involved. A wide range of opportunities are available from mentoring young people to environmental work.
