Voluntary Services Directory

The Voluntary Services Directory provides information about services available in the Greater Manchester Area. These services are generally provided by the voluntary sector or local authorities and augment, complement or follow on from care provided by the NHS. Availability of services may vary in different areas and some services may be applicable to certain conditions or be relevant for all.

If you would like details of your organisation to be included in our directory, please click here. If you identify any errors within the directory we would be grateful if you could highlight them to our administrator.

Our user guide explains how to use the tool, which works best in a Chrome browser.

Select “Generic” within the specialties category below if you would like to include services that are not condition specific.

Aims and Objective of the Bolton ICD Support Group:
To provide a forum for all ICD patients, carers, families and friends to discuss their concerns and problems and share experiences.
To guide patients towards a support network that will enable them to access information and advice.
To help patients with ICD’s to regain their confidence and morale when experiencing problems or during times of trouble.
To provide literature and information on all topics which are relevant to ICD patients.
Aim to raise funds to buy automated external defibrillators (AED’s) for local schools and sports clubs in Bolton, Bury and Wigan to improve survival rates in patients who suffer cardiac arrest in the local community as well as raising awareness of CPR, recognising cardiac arrest and how to help.
We hope that this site will provide access for patients, carers and families who need more information about their condition and what support is available.
